AS PER MY OPINION MEDIUM FIRMS ARE BEST.YOU CAN LEARN MORE AT MEDIUM FIRM LIKE EVEN BASIC WORKS.I AM SAYING THIS BECAUSE SOME OF MY FREINDS AFTER COMPLETING 2.5 YEARS OF ARTICLESHIP EVEN NOT ABLE TO FILL ITR FORMS.
I AM MY SELF IN MEDIUM FIRM AND HAVE EXPERIENCED MORE THEN MY FREINDS.
SO I GO FOR MEDIUM FIRMS.

Hi
It is not that easy to answer at a one instance . It is many edged problems , while encountered with it one have to look at the many factors such as
Your exposur towards industry and careeer one must have to locate whether he/she is keen towards industry or practice after qualifying CA finals. If the answer of formar is affirmative then the option towards the a BIG CA Firms having a good sound Brand is better one .and vice versa.
Your exposure and reading habits If the person is not so comfortable in practical subject and not that so fast learner of these topics then the medium firms is better option as this will provide you the more time to classes and study as well.
Your exposure towards the accounting and basic working or expertise level working exposure. A big firm can provide you a good expertise in one area of work while on the other hand the small/medium firm will enable you to esatablish yourself in the all and many of the anicilary and basics field of interest.
After all you have to look at from where to start and where to end…….
Best wishes

I'll agree with Manoj. Bcoz after completion of ur Articleship u can go either to Industry or for practice since u can hav all round idea, knowledge etc. Sandeep is also correct, if u have clear idea about ur career i.e practice or industry, it will depend on that.
My articles was completed in some how big firm, but I don't know how to file ITR. But I was trained in other area. Still there are areas which are not covered in my articles.
So plz go for medium firm, then u can have all over experience. Ofcourse finally it is up to you.

Well friends , let us consider different frointers B4 making a final verdict.
1.If some one wishes to choose to do Self Practice in future ( i.e himself as PROPRIETOR) then it is better to go Small/Mid sized firm - where an article gets the oppertunity to learn each matters from grass-root level.
2.If some one plans to choose to do Practice as a Partner of a Firm - then my suggestion is to go to Mid/Semi Big Firms.
3.Many of Newly quailifed CAs has a trend to serve the MNC's .- I want to tell them to go Big Sized firms in articleship training - as because it not only helps to capture the behavarioal aspect , but also it helps to do the NET PRACTICE of the future career .

If you want to do a job, go for a big firm. It might not teach you how to fill ITR and many other things, but will surely teach hundreds of other vital things which can do miracles for you, for example, you will gain specialisation in one area, build up good networks, earn good amount of money to sponsor your own education further etc.

Dear praveen,
i agree with sandeep & akash. Also remember it's not the size of the firm which is more important but the interest & commitment of urs which is more critical, always have a open mind and never say no to work during articleship, the foundation laid down in articleship will decide ur future.

um... I dont agree with the views of Nitin...
With articleship one cn really enhance the future aspects and understand the industry norms better.
And also i support Mr. Kanti in his views of ones own passion and commitment in this line of trade...

In my earnest opinion, qualify 1st as as ACA and the lot of things will fall in place.
Small, medium, big firm working has their own advantages and shortcomings.
Qualifying is more impt, so all the best.
