Dear Mannu,
You have two options to deal with this sitauaion:
1) file a rectification of mistake U/s 154
2) Revised return u/s 139 (5)
i will advice you to prefer the 1st path.
And
Dear Mr Gpal,
I beg to differ with you, Bank play no role in Income tax department and its internal matters, Banks are mere facilitators.

Dear Mannu,
Sorry to say but neither of above replies are going to solve your problem.
Gopal Agarwal is half correct.
Yuvraj is totally incorrect. Rectification or revised return is for mistake committed in ITR and not for challan.
Also no setting is required with the department for it. Process is very simple. You can get it corrected by making an application to A.O. There is prescribed guideline for the issue. Please go through the attached Challan Correction machanism provided by CBDT.:

Dear Manu,
For rectifications in challans paid through online mode (internet challan) , taxpayer should contact his concerned Assessing Officer (AO) of the Income Tax Department (ITD) TDS Circle. You may approach the AO with a request letter along with a copy of the challan.

No you can't. That is possible only if you deposit tax offline at the bank counter.
