A. N. Sridhar Sir's book is best for CA Final, even without any coaching you understand the subject and can get the exemption. Best of Luck.

I think if ur doing self study then go 4 s.d. bala,if u can afford coaching J.B.Gupta sir is best.
Guys pls don give ur opinion unless u ve checked different authors book.
I intially got AN sridhar by one of the persons opinion who had almost had text books of diffrent authors.
Infact wen i got the text i felt its very much organised.
Eventually wen i read it i felt the book is Good But wen i compared it with Dr JB Gupta's soft copy of text book i discovered the latter is comparitively better.
Now wat are Advantageous i discovered .
1)Dr JB Gupta 's book much simpler compared to AN sridhar Book.its more of class notes convereted into text book.
2)At every concept and even sub concept point JB Gupta has explained things in detail whereas AN sridhar has used short cuts ,which i defend as far as self study is concerned.
3)AN sridhar Book is more mathematically oriented but by reading DR jb Gupta's book u ll find the layman perspective is kept in mind.
4)lastly there is appendix in JB Gupta's book which ll always be handy,if ur base is not allrite but AN sridhar has no such stuff.
But there are few advantageous which AN sridhar's book has.
AN sridhar's book is very organised wen u come to problems, the variety of problems are classified under concept heads.i dint find it in JB gupta.
AN sridhar as far as i found ,is the only book which provides derivations of formulae JB Gupta has no derivation at all.
Regards.

Hi CA finalist, I dont know anything about the J.B.Gupta book(am using S.D. Bala & quite satisfied with it) but I am really really impressed by the reply u gave. Actually this is how one should reply when somebody asks regd a reference book. This kind of reply is a rarity in this forum. Hats off to u.
I had posted a query regd costing reference book a few days ago. If u have referred either Saxena Vasisht or Ravi M Kishore, pls go to this link & give ur valuable opinion. Even if u havent referred any of these books, pls share ur experience regd the reference book which u r actually using. This is the link /forum/details.asp?mod_id=150501&offset=1
