Hi
For Accounts-Hanif & Mukherjee, Shukla & Grewal (both groups)
Tax- Singhania
Costing-Tulsian
FM- Tulsian
Law-Munish Bhandari, Ethics, Comn-Inst. module
In addition to above, you have to refer problems in Inst. modules of all subjects, and RTPs, MTPs, Suggested Answers given in ICAI website. This will help u in scoring good marks. Reg. 2nd grp i dont have much idea. So wait for other responses.

Well, i think krishna & amit has mentioned all major books, but in case of taxation, you can also refer T.N. MANOHARAN....

According to me you should refer following books :
1. Advanced Accounting - Padhukas
2.Auditing - Padhukas
3.Law, Ethics and Communication - G.K.Kapoor
4.Taxation - V.K.Singhania
5.Cost Accountancy and Financial Management - Padhukas
6. IT and Strategic Management - Padhukas
I am also refering the same books and found them to be good.
