Best book for sfm for self study

Hi man,

SFM is a paper requires lot of conceptual clarity.

Ill divide the paper into 3 sects

1)5  Chapters in SFM run in to Present Values-Capital Budegt,Equity Valn,leasing,Bond Valn,A part of Meger and acquisition,dividend policy a part.- source check khan academy videos on concepts..the more u establish the present value concept,the better u r comfortable.

2)Forex & derivatives- i don knw where u stay,wheresoever u r..arange this Fellows notes Rajiv Singh.(Read it if u r not comfotable let me knw).

u need think practically.

3)Portfolio mgt-u can refer  any book.JB gupta is one i recommend.

with this u should be through ,even if u follow first two topics properly.

i did from a.n sridhar book , first did the test book and then did the problem and solution , but u should do full module pratice manual first rtp then go for problem solution book 

i got 59 in first attempt then 65 in next attempt i cleared ca in this nov result i did in this way rest ur choice 

I will appear in May - 2013 for my CA Final First Attemp.

I also self prepare all subject.

I prefer Student Guide on SFM of Snowwhite.. its give concept wise practical sums. so you get depth of knowledge of any concept.

If i dont give too much depth than i revised concept from A. N. Sridhar.

Last I used practice manual for revision.

As far as Module is concern. its waste of time bcz any student in first time can't learn from Module.

I used Material of Navkar for Practice Purpose.

As far as Forex and Derivatives is concern you should have to go through every material which you get from anywhere bcz that chapter are too tricky.

Still I m Happy with my Finance Preparation..

used Solved Paper of ICAI for revision its give you some idea for exam..

Plz suggest me any Book for Law..

Still there is confusion which book to study from exclusively..

Personally I dont like referring too many books for One subject..

Please recommend one book which not only make concepts clear but also impart question solving ability...

hi spendisumtym,i had used sd bala for concepts and jb gupta sir's book ................first and foremost plz try to b well versed wid stock market and understand the concepts of derivatives and FOREX,capital budgeting shud not b given much of tym....valuation of bond,derivatives,forex all this shud b conceptually very clear.

merger and acquisition is same as in accounts so just do derivatives,leasing,merger and acquisition alongwid accounts.................dividend,portfolio etc r a must.
