i am answering Finals in Nov 10.
I am currently revising from manoharan sirs book for DT
I happened to glance through Girish Ahuja sirs book and found that its much more in detail than Manoharan.

I am panicking now, is Manoharan sufficient???

i dont abt abt manoharan bt singhania is the best for dt.it was best for u if u have choosen singhania from start...............................................

For nov '10 exams you got only a few weeks for revision so concentrate in one book. I feel TN Manoharan is sufficient to score a passing marks

T.N. Manoharan

TN Manoharan is more than enough and his book is recommended by the institute.

Thank u guys for valuable advice...i am feeling better now...hope i do well...

also what is the consequence of not stating tha name of the case law in an answer??

ive got mthe decisions in mind but just cant remmbr the names .....

TN Manoharan is sufficient.

Try to remember atleast few of the important land mark judgements with case names. Quote only those case laws(if u know them to be perfectly correct) rather than quoting wrong one and attracting negative marking.

Regards

T. N. Manoharan book will be the best book for understanding the concepts.. If you want to check your conceptual knowledge then go for Singania book after reading Manoharan’s book..

Singhania = indepth knowledge

Vinod Gupta Modules =Best from Exam point of view

Vinod Gupta is d bst buk ever.........dude take it today only....9 modules of him is d superb.

u need not go join clsses of DT whn u read it.......but d -ve point is -it's all module not easily available in d mkt due to very hign demand....

agree with prakash

Singhania gives from a tax practioners point of view i.e you need to be well versed in everything.

Manoharan is for exam point of view i.e you study what is only needed.

MANOHARAN sir's book is really good from exam point of view. It is sufficient also. Pls dont go in for 2 or 3 books for D.T. Rely on one book, either T.N. or .V.K.S.,
