it is only for exams that anybody read it and later it retain for lifetime

please dont discourage anybody for any type of question

i appreciate shri parveen sharma sir the best of india accounts

Friends lets stop fighting... We are part of Professional Institutes either in the capacity of Member or Student or might be followers.. This is not a college chatting center ... pls be serious.... It doesnot matter if somebody doesn't know about basic question... For Reference ... OR is not a standard Term and might convey several meaning.... these are the short forms which we use on daily basis quite casually... I have heard some people even call cost accounting as "CA" ..sound strange but it happens .. take it lightly

Hey paresh... in my opinion there is nothing like best author or best book in CA course... as in exams your conceptual skills are going to be judged so refer any book of good author

 I refered in my preparation

1. saxena & Vashisht

2. ICAI Module (Must Read)

3. Compiler (Must Read)

Yes there is nothing called as the best book for CA final preperation for any subject.

Select any author's book as per your preference but don't forget to study the institute's module in deep.

I have noticed that  in costing exam theory questions covers 20-30 marks and all these are set from our institute's module only, so do not miss it at any cost.

Regards,

Karan

All books referred earlier are good but I would say that almost all of them are outdated and are not covering full new course. several topics like Divestment, Investigation of variances, world class manufacturing, uniform costing, inter firm comparision are not covered under almost all of the above said books, although examination is continuously asking questions on these topics.

I am not favouring any book but yes I find Parag Gupta updated. The best part of this book is that it is very intelligent compilation of past year questions & as vivek sir rightly said question paper cracks from his book. It provides best way of hitting the bull's eye. The worst part of this book is that it provides just concepts & questions & hints with question. Solutions of this book is not easily available. The only but good alternate for solution for this book is photostate of classwork notes, which is easily available in market.

I have talked to Parag Gupta & he told me that he will be launching a new edition (with major changes) by the end of December. He remained silent about solutions of his book.

Don't argue and comment like this.

CA Club India is a platform where knowledge is exchanged so Miss. Anchal just asked about a question which did't knew and you can't use such words.
