Becoming a ca after retirement

Dear Sirs

My father retired from service recently (he was a Scientist with Govt. of India and a Class-I officer) and has quite a bit of time on his hand.

Is studying for and becoming a CA something he will enjoy? Financial gain is not really an objective given that he has a decent pension and also I'm earning very well. Primarily it should keep him accupied at least 3-5hrs a day and mentally agile.

Kindly also shed some light on what is the process and how hectic it can be, at his age it will be hard to constantly provie 7hr days, though I'm quite certain he will be more productive even with fewer hours than most of the students given his vast experience in supervisory roles and positions of responsibility (and dealing with govt. departments, including his own)

Thanks in advance.

Ankal ko bolo enjoy kare.....kya CA mai bache hue lifr barbaaad kar rahe hai.........

If he thinks to do CA after retirements , he is inspirng  somany young students who are persuing CA as their career. But , he should consider his age factor as CA carers needs a lot studies and extensive training also. For average students  It needs even more than 10 hrs per . Whether he can spend such time. Then articleship of 3 years , he needs to work in CA firm as trainee,

Hi Vinayak,

i highly appreciate that you think about your father for his retirment activities.

he would definaetly set an example if he wil persue CA at this age. :)))
