Be careful while asking for an easy life
If we wish for life to be easier, we can have it! However, be aware of the type of results we will get.
In order to have an easier life, we take no risks. We never try anything new. When we go out to eat, we eat the same restaurants and order the same thing every time. After work, we come home and have the same routine. We know what we do each day of the week.
We keep the same unfulfilling job because we know how to do it. There aren’t surprises. We show up, do our work, then go home. We get our salary every month. Instead of making a huge splash, we just dip our toes into the water.
We are on the sidelines while we read and hear about people doing what we dream about. They are facing challenges, and finding a way to overcome them. We avoid challenges completely, but we also avoid any chance for success.
At least life is easy. We’re free from having to make the tough choices. Our toughest choice of the day is which TV show to watch first.
But then we wonder why we’re not happy. Why can’t we be like that person? We want that success. We’ve done everything we should. We have a house, car, and a job. Why are we not happy? That unhappiness weighs heavily on us. We struggle to get out of bed.
**Dreams have gone unfulfilled. We haven’t forgotten about them. We will never forget about them. They don’t just go away. The more we avoid going after our dream, the more it eats us on the inside.
We should Stop feeling sorry for ourself because we have problems. That is life.
The reality is we all have problems, but each of us handles them in different ways.
“Don’t wish it was easier wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge wish for more wisdom”
