B.Com Prog is simple to do. The course is simple and provides an overview of the subjects. The question papes are designed in a simple and repeating pattern, questions asked are straight forward.
B.Com(Hons) provides in-depth knowledge of the subject. The syllabus is vast and the question papers are tricky.
In the job market, both are considered just as a simple graduation unless you complement it with a good professional degree like MBA from a reputed institution.
B.Com(hons) has good scope if pursued from reputed colleges like SRCC, Hansraj College etc with good percentage to attract lucrative job offers, moreover it gives an edge for pursuing higher studies as subjects are taught in detail and depth.
Conclusion
B.Com. (Hons) scores over B.Com Prog if pursued from a reputed college, else they are both considered same in the practical scenario and need to be supported by a good professional degree. B. Com(Hons) students find it easy to grasp their subjects in higher studies as they have studied the subjects in-depth at their graduation level.

B.com(H) is always batter then B.com pass
the syllabus or subjects of honers are more then the B.com pass.
those subjects are same in pass or honers. In pass direct questions asked in exams or in honners indirect questions are asked in exams.
B.com(H) value is more than the B.com pass.
