There is no specific limit for basic salary. But you shall keep basic salary should be more so that employee could take benefit of PF savings
To decide basic salary is depend on company/firm policy but when you are deciding basic salary of any person please keep in mind the minimum wages rules define by govt for each worker as per his skill.
