Scheduled banks are those banks which are included in the 2nd schedule of RBI act 1934. All nationalised banks are scheduled banks. Scheduled banks are classified in 2 categories - state co-operative banks and commercial banks. nationalised banks come under commercial category. central co-operative banks and primary credit societies are example of non scheduled banks.
