Hi All,

I would like to know all of your opinion on banking career. I am a CA who passed out in May 2014.

Is the post of a ''Relationship Manager" in a Corporate banking division of a Foreign bank , a good career to start with? Does this have a good career prospectus in future?

Kindly provide your valuable opinion.

Thanks and Regards

Mah personal views doesnt goes with this.. Because we are finance professionals.. and relationship manager doesnt suits with ur background...

And in future when u wants to shift to a new job.. it would b tough for you dear

Dear Annmary,

If you are personally enjoying profile where you will enjoy taking pressure on day to day basis also you should be ready to take number targets then role of RM will be good. But if you have done your professional course like CA then there are lot many options available in Banking sector, you should try and explore that.

Instead of RM of corporate banking, try for Underwriting department that is also very grey area in banking sector or to start with if you are getting an opportunity in treasure department opt for that. initially Pay package does not matter if you are getting desired profile.

Thank you.

Hi All,

But I heard from many of them , that this is the way we can get into good banks and later move onto processing. so whats your opinion about that ?

Thanks

Annmary

Still my answer is no... in future good bank can reject you to take in finance field because you were a relationship manager previously
