I have noticed (from the Annual Report of ICAI) that the Auditors of ICAI and its regional offices are Chartered Accountants!
I don't understand as to how can a person audit the accounts of an Organisation in which he is a member! Doesn't that affect his independence?
External auditors are considered independent. This type of membership does not affect independence.
