audit of companies act is required by companies act..
what about partnerships and sole proprietorships??

There is no such provision for partnership or proprietorship. .It falls under audit only by virtue of sec 44AB. 44AD. . .

Companies require only statutory Audit as per Company Act
& Co., Partnership Firm, & Prop. requires Tax Audit under Provision of Income tax act (If such to applicable to them)
