If u r trying 2 by-heart u wud never b able 2 remember.. just try n understand the concepts.. preferably study d theory first n thn try n solve d case studies by urself n then u can match with d answers given.. :-)

Give it a reading first, trying to UNDERSTAND (not learn).

Give it another reading, checking if you still feel something is new..

Once you are sure that you have covered everything, randomly check by flipping pages, if you still get WOW! this is something new feeling. If you do, you again need to go through.

Once this feeling gets over, you have understood the subject and you have learned the topics as by-product. If you still think you will feel better by learning, try it now.

Things you actually gotta learn are the SAs (Standards on Auditing) and ASs (Accounting Standards) with their numbers.

the only way to remember the audit iz, jst try to relate the theory with practical audit. U must be an article, and hav an idea about audit, if not than u havnt any option except cram all that

IPCC Auditing

1. study the 1st chapter thoroughly which also covers SA 200.(day 1)

2. go for C C V V -- complete company audit1, co.audit2, vouching, verification.(day 2,3,4,5)

3. do special audit, govt. audit, e.d.p audit (day 6,7)

4. revise 1.2.3. regularly..make urself strong in these areas..then about 50 marks is in ur pockets..

5. now we are going for SAs (abt anthr 50 marks)..surabhi bansal's book covers old SA, new SA & summary of SA of about 45 SAs...take ur own time...understand...learn...theoritical knowledge is waste...apply it in practical questions..

6. also refer RTP nov.11(not yet published), sugg.ans of may11 & nov10..

7. you may go 4 good coaching classes..
