No, the statement of marks simply provides actual marks secured in a particular examination and it does not indicate the number of attempts taken.

Prerana Ji I was replying to your initial question on whether the statement of marks issued by ICAI whether it indicates the number of attempt(s) taken by a candidate.
As far as your subsequent question on the employer insisting on the Number of attempts taken by a candidate that is the policy or discretion of the recruiting organization. You may be aware that Big 4 Audit firms prefer to hire candidates who have qualified as a Chartered Accountant in their first or Second attempt and there are some exceptions where in such rule is given a miss.
Most good companies who wish to hire candidates have a very rigorous hiring process. The crème de la is scouted for. I understand the feelings, but an Employer does not give too much importance to an Employee's emotions. This is the truth and one has to re-invent oneself and take things forward for a better prospect.
