ASSOCHAM IS organising a full day master class on “Service Tax and CENVAT Credit” in three major cities, New Delhi(January 19, 2009), Mumbai (January 28, 2009) and Bangalore (January 29, 2009). In the workshop, important issues relating to service tax and CENVAT credit as well as the recent changes made therein will be discussed by eminent experts. The workshop aims to understand the impact of such changes as well as to understand the impact of such changes, would it require further change. Some of the topics under CENVAT will include: * Impact of changes made in the definition of input service * Impact of changes made in Rule 6(3) * Doubts and difficulties for implementing the Rule 6(3) & 6(3A) and remedies thereof * Meaning of exempted services in the changing scenario * Practical difficulties and would it require further change.
