I want to know whether a mutual fund can have more than 1 asset management company for different schemes, i.e. one asset management company for onr one scheme and another asset management company for another scheme?

No every mutual fund trust shall have an Assest Management Company, which shall manage the fund of mutual fund. But one AMC can provide service to more mutual fund trusts.
