Hi Jay,
You may consider the following for CA-final Accounts :
CA(Dr.) P.C. Tulsian's book for CA-final accounts has been released and is now available in the market...(As per his facebook status)
The name is "Tulsian's Financial Reporting for CA-Final as per revised Schedule VI" along with book on Accounting Standards. - A self study textbook

@ jai : I assume you know that workbook of praveen sharma is not a self study book. Theory is there only of AS and for other topic questions and answers are avaiable. You have to either attend his class or arrange his notes from the student who attended his class, in order to get theory of other than AS topics.
+ I recommend D.S.Rawat book for AS. The book would be helpful even after you become a CA.

Tulsian is also a good book. I scored 68 in advanced accountancy in IPCC by folowing it. But the problem is the book is very bulky covering detailed aspects and many questions. Considering the fact that you are going to write your exams in nov,12. I doubt that you would be able to complete the portion in time. If you have already did your concepts and is looking for questions to revise then I would say go for praveen sharma otherwise you may go for Tulsian. Book the books are good and have their own advantages. Mau be you could go to any law shop near you and compare the books yourself.
