Disclosure requirements of AS-13:
- Accounting policies for determining carrying amount of investments
- Classification of investments
- Agreegate value of quoted and unquoted investments
- Amount included in the profit and loss account for interest or dividends received or disposal of investments etc.

As-13 is applicable for invetment in land and bilding subject to the investment made with an intention to earn capital appreciation.
for ex..if a company purchased a building not for its bussiness but for earning rent by letting out, then it is not a fixed asset ,it is regarded as investment as per AS-13

sir Iiwant to know, if any hospital has invested money in mutual fund etc, then how the accounting is done for such investment...
