Objective of the standard
The objective of this Standard is to prescribe the accounting treatment for property, plant and equipment.
Principal issues in accounting for property, plant and equipment are; Recognition of the asset.
The determination of their carrying amounts.
The charges of depreciation. Impairment losses to be recognized in relation to the asset.
