I think it all comes down to individual preferences.
But some related points coming to my mind are :
Industrial training worth only if you are considering service post qualification and not practice. But how big is this a factor we cant estimate. Only recruiters can tell if they would prefer someone who has done industrial training over someone who has not. Industrial training will give you more insight about internal functioning working of a company which is different from what we as auditors see generally.
Secondly, during 2 year of articleship at a place, you will get to know most of the things your firm has to offer. Say value addition during the last year of articleship is less compared to the initial 2 years as work gets repetetive (generally, not necessarily in all the firms). Industrial training would offer you a complete different learning and exposure and value addition would be more.
Leave during the industrial training would be max 1 or 2 months(2months if you are lucky). So its like you can write only 1 group unless you have been thouroughly preparing consistently.
Above points are based only on what I think. I have no industrial training experince, but considering joining it.
