Articleship rules clarity - correct interpretation of rules

Articleship 1640 views 9 replies

I m sure many students pursuing their final stages of articleship would now have a clear idea of their eligible leave so far, their excess, how they can make good the excess leave taken and for what all they can claim credits.

This is my interpretation of the rules in the link above. Anybody who feels i m wrong somewhere can humbly correct me if i m wrong.

Taking an example for the month of August:

ABC works 7hours a day(excluding lunch hours) , 6days a week = 42hrs a week ( i.e. 7hours a week in excess of the institute's regulation of 35hours pr week)

ABC took leave on a weekday during the month.

Status of ABC at the end of the month:

1) ABC has completed 31 days of Articleship.

2) ABC is already eligible for 5 days of leave (i.e. 1/6th of actually served 30 days).

3) ABC can take credit for 28hours extra worked (i.e. 7hours per week * 4weeks).

4) ABC's total leave credit is 5days and 28 hours and therefore after apportioning his leave for 1 day he now has 5days and 21hours leave credit.

Thanks a lot.............!!!!!!
