Articleship leave

Hello everyone, I had a very tough articleship. I joined articleship on 24.10.2013 which completed on 23.10.2016. I left my may and nov attempt because my principal gets signed the extension form before handed and than only signs our exam form and in no case i wanted to serve my extension period here because than he makes us serve whatever period he wants. I would be serving my extension under some other principal since i have not signed it under him.

According to me my leave is 280 days i.e. around 5 months extension. But my principal is on some other calculation.

1) He is including all my Sundays in leave.

2) I want to know will I be eligible for my 3rd due attempt if he shows leave for around 480 days.

3) What exactly is the procedure for attempt due after you complete your 3 years of articleship

I really dont want to mess with him and just want to get out of his place any how without delaying my upcoming attempt.

Pls note I have not signed any exam form till date which means there is no proof 2.5 years completion.

Thank You

what does all sunday mean? if you are on continuous leave, any sunday or other holiday which comes during that leave period would surely be considered as leave. What do you mean by you will serve extension under some other principal? is it some Articles transfer?

He is considering all my sundays in leave. And its not transfer. Its termination. I have completed my 3 years under him and would be serving my excess leave under some other principal.

As per my understanding you have completed 3 years of articles and taken 280 days as leave in total.

If my understanding is right your eligible leave will be [(3*365)-280]/6 amounts to 136 days.

Your extention period of articles will be 280-136= 144 days.

Note :-

1.Sundays will not counted as leaves if you have worked previous day(saturday) or next day(monday).
