hi frend, iam in 100 % favour of articleship training in big 4 even if u have to face problem regarding shortage of time for studies. wts the benefit of clearing ca paper and have nt gd knowledge . In ipcc pattern , there is training of 3 years , so if u make a gd plan to study regularly, u cn complete ur syllabus easily in 2 years. its nt neccessary to appear in the same year wn ur attempt due, because attempt counts by filling the form . so at the end of 3 years of articleship training u may be a good ca with a great level of knowledge. Best of luck .

I THINK , IT IS RIGHT THAT  THE BIG 4 FIRMS ARE NOT PROVIDE THE INTERACTION WITH CLIENTS. AND IT MAY HELD THE BAD EFFECT ON CONFIDENCE OF PRACTISING AIMED STUDENTS. AND THESE FIRMS PROVIDE A VERY SHORT PERIOD FOR SELF STUDY , EVEN I LISTEN THAT THEIR WORKING HOURS  SO HIGH.

SO MID SIZE FIRMS ARE FINE.

i would like to add up...

if someone who had thought to do job after his/her ca final

then it would be better for them to complete there two years of articleship"SINCERELY"

and go for the industrial training...

THE STIPEND SHOULD NOT BE KEPT AS A BASE TO SELECT A FIRM..MIND IT

COS I HAVE FACED IT..."TRY TO LEARN AND EVENTUALLY YOU WILL EARN"

Sorry guys for repeating the question. It went unanswered.

WHICH ARE THE TOP 5 FIRMS IN MUMBAI FOR DOING ARTICLESHIP??

WHAT IS THE CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR JOINING THEM? IS IT THE SAME THAT IS NEEDED FOR MEDIOCRE FIRM OR IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE??

YA, ITS TRUE THAT THEY WILL PUT YOU IN ONE SPECIFIED AREA....BUT IF U LOOK ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE...U GET TO BECOME AN EXPERTISE IN THAT SPECIALISED AREA...PLUS U GET AN AWESOME PACKAGE IMMIDIATELY AFTER U PASS OUT UR CA FINAL EXAM ( THE STIPEND IS GREAT TOO, COMPARED TO OTHER FIRMS )....

People tell the same while working in mid-size firms..

On a lighter note... If we have presidents like UPA and Amarjeet.. it need not matter where you work.

But obviously, The BIG4 pay a greater stipend than any mid-size firm....
