Hey all, please guide me through my dilemma..
I am currently undergoing articleship in a mid sized firm. I am not exposed to much work and there is a lot of free time; most of my fellow articles are taking up extra courses (CS/CWA, etc.) to keep themselves busy.
In your opinion, should I continue here and add another qualification to my name and gain theoritical knowledge or should I transfer to some other firms to gain practical exposure?

passing exam is everything. learn as much as you can where u r now.

You can utilised your valuable time by -
1) taking some other courses like CS/CMA alongwith your CA/Articleship-but prior approval is required from ICAI
2) By spending you time on google-you can learn alot of practical things there ie: www.educba.com (provide short term courses which will give you practical exposure)
3) Gain expertise in advanced excel
4) Plan you studies and in my opinion you can get great exposure in your current articleship firm but you have to make some extra efforts as well

See no firm ill give you full experience/expertise, you ill gain it over the time because accounts & finance is so vast so don't worry and try to make of the most.
