Sir I've cleared IPCC in Nov'14. I would Lyk to noe which is a better option for articleship: Audit or M&A(Merger Acquisition). Which has a better scope n pay?? Thank you.

Merger and Acquisition is better than Statutory Audit, Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Internal Audit.

Advantages of M & A :

1. You can go for Investment Banking after CA. Investment bankers are highly paid.

2. You will do assignments which will be of very high stakes.

3. There is no chance of monotonous work. Your each case will be unique.

4. You will be also involved in Due dilligence of the amalgamating parties. The respect and power of a professional involved in the due dilligence for M & A is very high as compared to statutory auditor.

5. With the experience of Merger and Acquisition, you can also go in Management Consultancy industry. Management consultants are also highly paid.

There is no comparison of Statutory Audit and Merger and Acquistion.

Statutory Audit is better than Internal Audit, Taxation, Transfer Pricing in terms of pay and scope.

But Merger and Acquistion, opens the gate of IIM Monopolised Industries : Management consultancy and Investment Banking. Salary and Work is just mind blowing.
