i had received a training guide in which it is stated tht the permissible leave period for a articled clerk is 1/6 of the actual period served....

one-sixth of actual period served, subject to a maximum of 180 days.

The maximum leave is 1/6th of the total period served.
The Training Guide downloaded from ICAI site is attached for ur reference.
The provisions for leave is given in page no. 18. Also the various cases & how the leave is calculated is also illustrated. They may come in handy.
