1. What crash course??
2. By should you mean: should or, you are asking whether? If should it is matter of debate, if whether.. the training programmes/ seminars are considered as working days, if it clashes with your articleship working hours.. If you do it outside your articleship hours, you don't get any credit for that! So, do it during your articleship hours.. ;)

ICAI conducts those?? Not by private tutors?? Don't have it at my place, so no idea.. Anyhow, leaves are not counted for:
1. Computer Training (if done during articleship period)
2. Seminars/ Special Programmes like Sports, Quiz, etc.
3. GMCS/ Residential Programmes.
I don't think crash courses would be an uncounted leave...
The thumb rule is, ICAI doesn't consider leave for studying anything (i.e. course stuff) which will help you become a CA in real sense, as uncounted leave.
