Appointment of director through postal ballot
Is s.160 applicable to a director appointed through postal ballot(not at general meeting)???

As per section 110 read with rule 22 of CA,2013 has prescribed 10 matters for transacting which postal ballot SHALL be required and for other matters company MAY pass it through postal ballot.
Therefore, company is at discretion to appoint the director by postal ballot route who has applied under sec 160.
