Application Format u/s 119(2)(b)

Dear All,

If you have any drafted Application format for requesting to A.O. for issuing order u/s 119(2)(b).

I want to file my ITR for the A.Y. 2014-15 in which around Rs. 22000 TDS refund.

So, For that purpose I require that application format if you have please share.

No more specific formats for condonation delay request letter... You can prepare Your own way for request with reason...

Otherwise You can try to following format...

1) Did you file IT- return in previous years.

2) Is your income below taxable limit before deductions .

Only A.Y 18-19 return is filed.
Yes, previous years' Income is within the slab limit.

No, Previous year income is exceed the basic exemption limit but finally I have TDS refundable Return

Yes,
I filled ITR for A.Y. 2013-14 and subsequent A.Y. but not filed ITR for A.Y. 2014-15 and Now want to file ITR u/s 119(2)(b)..
And in A.Y. 2014-15 I have a income that exceed Basic exemption limit but finally I have a TDS refund.

On what grounds or what reason can you give now that they should condone delay

1) You know income tax return filing .

2) You know 26AS exists -(or you had no knowledge of the same)

I forgot to file ITR for A.Y. 2014-15 ,Now I know TDS is deducted on my income in A.Y.2014-15.
Furthermore on which ground we can apply.
Please share your experience in this regarding.

1) Vivek you have to personally go there and give the letter and take acknowledgement. draft letter attached here

2) Deepak Please hire a good CA . He will do the job

It has to be submitted via post. Please write a application quoting net income and deductions, same way in itr 1 calculation. At last if you have a refund kindly mention with AY to principal of commissioner IT or just net tax payable. Also mention reason for lapse with proof. In case you want to visit assessing officer that could be more better but with application. In case you dont have taxable income they will send you letter to your address and you can quote it no taxable income. Later after getting order and notice date for 119 2 b you can file online for the lapsed year!
