What is the applicabilty of exemption u/s 10A for a company which was amalgamated with another company?

Deduction u/s 10A is available only in case of new undertakings..except the cases of reorganizations specified u/s 33 B..
And if after started claiming deduction u/s10A a company goes into amalgamation then the amalgamated company can claim deduction u/s 10A for the remaining period.
