I want to know that sec 217 (2A) clause regarding list of each employee getting a salary in excess of 24 lacs per annuam is applicable on pvt ltd company also or it's applicable on public ltd companies only.

very well it is applicable to all companies.

It is applicable for both public as well as private company.
Now the limit under section 217(2A) is increased to Rs. 60 lacs from Rs. 24 Lacs (monthly Rs. 5 lac from Rs. 2 lac).

Hello,
Section 217(2 a) of the companies act 1956 is applicable to all the Companies.
As Mr. Rajeev rightly said the limit under section 217(2A) is increased to Rs. 60 lacs from Rs. 24 Lacs (monthly Rs. 5 lac from Rs. 2 lac). I this regard the Notification is attached.

Could any body tell from which financial year the increased limits will be applicable ?

Any company presenting it's annual report on or after 1st april 2011 will follow this increased limit of 5 lacs.
