Hello Seniors and Friends
All the employees in our organisation are on contractual appointments for a max period of 3 yrs. The contract of one employee expired on 30 Jun 2010. The emp is covered under epf act due to salary less than Rs.6500/-
Now the employee is appointed afresh after a break of 7 days and the salary is also revised to Rs.10,000/- lump sum per month. The fresh contract is also of three years. My query is that whether the employee will still be covered under EPF act or not since the revised salary is crossing the limit of Rs.6500/- under EPF Act.
