Guys,

Are you still unemployed after passing CA and are you receiving any interview calls or no calls at all? What are you doing presently now? Working somewhere or staying at home or studying further?

Hi Naresh

I am May 2011 passout CA. I got my job through reference of my relatives.

So concentrate on references of friend, relative or collegues in order to get a job.

Also you can try contancting some good Job Placement Agencies in area where you want to work.

No CA is unemployed and will never be unemployed

CA is superior then doctors and surgeons and much much much more then engineers ( see below links )After 1 or 2 years situation will change According to report ( American jobs council ,UK accountancy ,EU accountancy)Indian CA's will be higher paid CA's in the world with many fold increase in demand for them and fresher CA,s would get around minimum 18-20 Lac package,there would be hiring spree for Indian CA,s, will be in much great demand therefore many foreign students r also trying to get this professional course ,it will be highest paid Accountancy professional course in the world and they would be scarcity of CA's ,we need 1.89 crore more CA's .And it has started and one Fresher CA(passed in second Attempt)was recruited for 1.38 crore per annul in India, and one Fresher CA got job in US firm with whopping salary of 58 crore Annual(4.85crore monthly )ready to get recruit with such salary ready to get recruit with such salary we need millions OF CA's desperately and demand is increasing many times day by day.

i dont know about future but right now many CA freshers are offered Rs. 18000-20000. In fact i saw on notice board of institute companies offering CA salary of Rs. 200000/- pa. I dont understand if institute cant ensure better placement for ca fresher then why it allows companies offering such low salary to display their vacancies on notice board of institute. I also belong to same category of unemployed.

My story...

I qualified as a CA in January 2013(Nov 2012 attempt).

I appeared for interview in a government sector company in noida...for the post of Assistant Manager (Finance) which required commerce graduate/post graduates/mba (finance)/CAs.

There were 50 candidates shortlisted for interview.Out of which 10 were again shortlisted for second round of interview(i was also among these ten).

Interviewers were a 5 IAS officers & in those 10 shortlisted candidates only 3 were CAs (I was also one of them with first division B.Com degree).

Vacancy was only for 2 posts (1 for Chhindwara ,my home town & the other one was for Jaipur).

I was the only CA from Chhindwara.The other 2 CAs were from Jaipur.I was the only female in those ten.My interview was excellent .I was quite sure that I will get this job as I answered everything perfectly & I ,being a CA, was very much confident.

But who got the job ,in my home town ,is an MBA(Finance) from Nagpur.I too did my CA from Nagpur.

While interviewing they told me that CTC would be around 300000/- p.a. & I agreed with them.

And you will be shocked to know that the guy selected joined that undertaking at Rs. 40000/- p.m.

I am really very much disappointed.....

Still I am preparing for Banking/PSUs examinations...& also practicing as a CA in my home town.

Lets see where the destiny takes me to....

4.38 crores for second attempt ???

58 crores??? Even Stanford or Harvard Business School Graduates won't get this kind of salary.....

And Indian CA is not valid in USA untill you qualify CPA....Please don't try to give fake advices or comments in this forum. I believe that this forum is for the professionals and the discussions should be relating to the reality. The innocent newbies who have entered this course (and so this site) might think the news is true and will get disappointed when they see the ground reality.
