There is no consequence of not attending the compulsory question, if you have not attended you will loose the mark of un attended questions. There is no negative mark for non attending the compulsory questions. Compulsory questions are set either tricky or time consuming. I suggest try to attend whole questions even if you dont know it

In question paper there is two types of Questions.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1.Compulsory :
It means you have no choice to attempt any other quetion for the marks alloted for Compulsory quetion.
If you not attempt that compulsory question then you will lose the whole marks alloted thereto.
2. Alternative:
It means you have choice to attempt alternative questions.
i.e. if 5 questions are given then it may be asked to answer any 4 thereof.

It is not possible to assess the impact of not attempting compulsory question on assessment of answers to other questions. Cannot presume it will have no impact on answers to other questions. Policy on correction of answers is not disclosed by ICAI.

hi guys....
i have different opinion... i have attended classes under M.P.V. VIJAY KUMAR sir, u ppl must b knowing him..
in his class once he told about this doubt.. if u dont attend compulsory question, than examinar has the choice of not correcting your paper and award zero...
he suggested a solution of it that... u people just write the question number and leave the space to answer and answer all remaining question....
i do think same.. other no other use of giving that type of compulson...
