The information in annual return comes for the period of from the last agm to the next agm, thus as the even happened in this agm you should put this director in the annual return.

Friend,
Agree with learned members. Yes as per my understanding also info needs to be shared through Annual Return filing.
I would like to add one practical thing. If the person confirmed u/s 257 was holding the post as additional director u/s 260 then the date of appointment to be mentioned in Annual Return would be the date of his original appointment as additional director and not the date of present AGM.

Great to see all Learned Members of CA Club India Mr. Ankur Garg Ji and Mr. Ankur Srivastava Ji who are spreading the knowledge among the members.
whne we file the Form 20 B, the information is being given as on Date of AGM means the information of Directors who are as on date of AGM. So if any person is appointed/ regularised under section 257 at AGM means he becomes Director on AGM. So there is need to gicve his particulars in Annual Return but as Mr. Garg has said the date of appointment will be date of appointment as an Additional Director and not date of AGM when he has been regularised.

Yes, of course the date of regularisation is not the date of appointment, it is correct
