Is it mandatory to file annual return of TDS for F.Y 2008-09 apart from Quarterly Returns. Is there is any notification mentioning abolishment of filing annual return ? Pl. clariy

Actually the return of IV qtr is annual return .Difference is that you can submit the additional information like Annexxure of From 24Q............

If you have filed quarterly return and also the additional details in form no. 24Q for the 4th qtr then no need for any annual return.

Can you clarify what do you meant by additional information. Is it the annexures which is submitted in the form of CD?

Additional details are the annexure of salary details to be submitted in 4th quarter for Form no. 24Q

I have a tan no.
i know it is mandatory to file quaterly nil returns also if there has been no tds deducted in that quarter.
My concern area is whether it is necessary to file nil returns for both 24Q as well as 26Q or only one of them is ok
