A person having propritorship business and registered with service tax department has changed the name of his business and the address of business. Can he apply for ammendment in registration certificate or do he need to apply fresh....

PAN CARD IS ISUED IN THE NAME OF PROPRITOR.
REGISTRATION OF SERVICE TAX CODE NUMBER IS ISSUED ON THE BASIS OF PAN CARD
SO, NATURALLY ALL HIS BUSINESS MAY HAVE DIFFERENT NAME OR DIFFERENT TRADE LICENCE BUT THE REGISTRATION CODE NO WILL BE SAME.
IN CASE OF PARTNERSHIP OR OTHER FIRMS SITUATION IS DIFFERENT

The same form for application for registration can be used for amendment in Service Tax Registration.
In case the location and name of the firm is changed, you need to apply a fresh and you can surrender eralier STRegn.
