Can change in name of an entity specially firm and company duly validated in pan data by applying for new pan card. PAN number remaining the same but change in name. Can the said change in name of firm or company be also effected in GST amendment in core fields though PAN number will not be changed but name on pan card and in pan data will be changed.

A partnership firm has to change its name. It will change the name and then apply for change in PAN data. Name will be changed by the Income Tax Department in the PAN data and PAN Card but PAN number will still remain the same. Now the question arises will the change in name of the firm which amounts to change of Legal Name of the firm will also be allowed in GST Amendment of Core Fields ?
