Is Padhuka a good reference book to prepare AMA for CA Final Exams..........?

It's got a hell lot of content and too advanced i suggest to stick to the practise manual for your costing.

Rahul , Advanced Management Accounting book by Saravana Prasath is good book having blend of good number of illustrations and problems for your practice based on Past Examination Questions, RTP Questions, Mock Test questions along with comprehensive theory questions too. It contains fast track referencer for quick revision too. All said and done, a paper on Advanced Management Accounting requires conceptual understanding as every term the questions asked both in costing and QT are typical and tests a students depth of understanding.

FACT = From 2005. ICAI has changed its Pattern..Earlier questions used to be of 20 marks each..with less coverage of syllabus.. NOW ICAI give small questions and cover everything in paper.

So, Padhukas book is the best..No doubt

But simply ignore/Avoid Extra Complicated Sums( Which came in 90's era )

DONT EVER START FROM CHAPTER 1 - STANDARD COSTING ( Very Difficult and lengthy Topic)

Start from Last Chapter which will be from OR( Easy Topics and Small in size)

Study Theory Questions which came in previous exams..That is sufficient

DONT WASTE TIME ON BIG ( 20 marks) QUESTIONS ( Not required in new pattern Question Papers)

But in my knowledge pc tulsian book is best one for self study it is s chand publications

Padhukas is a good book for Ama..saravana prasath specilisation subject..make a concept notes after each chapter and pick few concept problems for exam day gap revision.Make small summary after each and every theory question for quick revision.. for lpp assignment transportation network simulation make note of each and every small tricky things and see them a day before exams..All the best.

Its the BESt book , I have prepared frm that itself. standard costing and marginal costing chapters are lengthy in that book... otherwise this book is good.

I was used PADUKA and PM for AMA and I got 69 in Nov - 13 exam. So I ever suggest PADUKA

I m following padhuka book for ama. It's a very good book. U can definitely keep it as your reference book. But it contains a bit of mistakes. ... Don't forget to look practice manual and rtp issued by icai

I would suggest Sanjay Aggarwal book with solutions... i found it good. Not too much n not too less.but the problem is that there are some mistakes in the book. Rest the book is good.
