Alternate director

Term of office of an alternate director comes to an end at the earlier of

1. The orignal Director comes back to India (It is immaterial whether he comes to attend board meeting or for other duty)

2. The expiry of term permissible to original director (Example: The orinal director has been spending long time outside india even the time expired being as director or in case of death or vacation of office under section 167)
