Allowance is received by a teacher for teaching in Tribal areas in Maharashtra state.( Mokhada District)
Whether such allowance is exempt under Income Tax ? If yes under which section ? Special compensatory allowance in section 10 does not cover Maharashtra Srtate ? Please guide on the point.

SPECIAL COMPENSATORY ALLOWANCE IS APPLICABLE IN TRIBAL / AGENCY AREAS OF MAHARASHTRA STATE AND IT IS 200 P.M
In Income tax ready recknor ( Singhaniya) special compensatory (Tribal Areas) allowance is given in 9 states in which there is no name of Maharashtra. Can you kindly provide if any notification is available for the said exemption in Maharashtra ?
