Please let me know is there any age limit for pursuing CA course. I am 34 year old housewife and a mother of two kids. An MBA in finance and M.com.
i want to pursue CA and pursue career in this area. i also want to know the levelof knowledge needed in area of mathematics for CA course.

Dear Mam,
I would like to inform you about level of knowledge of Maths in CA Course
As you have done and Mcom as well, your entry will be at IPCC LEVEL
AT this level you have to use concept of statistic such as mean ,median ,mode
logarithimic function, antilog and after that you will have to do simple calculation like multiplication, addition and division

At some places you have to use concept of Differention, Integration and limit etc
These all are from the syllabus of 12th itself.
So nothing is to be worried about application of mathematics.

There is no such age limit and for the other part of qstn. mathematics of class 11&12 is asked at cpt level only.Further, as you have done your graduation you can enroll for direct entry scheme(can skip cpt and directly appear for ipcc) provided you have got minimum 50% marks in graduation.

I recommend you to persue CPA(U.S) instead of CA, Advantage of CPA (U.S) is that, now w.e.f 1st september 2014 now Indian can do CPA from Dubai also.
As you know CPA is no.1 Accounting Body and CA is no.2 Accounting body, that ICAI Specify many times ..
Advantage of CPA , you can pass all 4 exams in 1 years. second CPA Pass Percentage is more than 45% now a days. Indian company give huge respect to CPA ( U.S).you need not to do 3 years articleship under CA for Rs 3000 to 4000.
There is a huge Demand and less supply for this course in Big 4 and U.S Companies. They are offered a huge salary to U.S CPA as compared to CA's.
