i am 44 years old. i started ca at the age of 33, in the year 1999 ,cleared ist group of final in may-2008.since then i am trying hard to clear the  2nd group to become a CA,but every time my score is in the range of 170 to 180.

now i appeared in may-2011 exams again my attempt is avg. it may be 200 or again in 180,s.

i am working, having a job ,part time accounts and i.tax returns work.i am married having two children.

it is very tough to put in hard work again and again. please some one advice me what strategy i should adopt. should i start preparing for nov-2011 or try to finsih my job assignements in next 2 months so that when results are declared. if i clear it,s great but in case i dont clear then i have less burden of work in order to start for nov.20011 attempt.

Yes, very nice topic u chosed Renuji, I also dropped my CA while failed in 4 consecutive attamp.,.i left in 2007. But again felt that i should continue and appear for Ist group in May-10 and luckily i cleard that group with good marks. and now preparing for the next group. Though my age is also a matter as i m 28 now. but clearing Ist group gave me a fighting power to fight my CA exam fever.

thanks again for writing a heart touching topic.

 Don’t Quit

When things go wrong,

As they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far ;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit

It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Dear Friends,

I had joined my CA at the age of 28 after 7 years of my graduation, and  i got married. I have completed my inter I st Group 2001 and completed II nd Group in 2004. Now i am in overseas from 2005. I gave my final exams last 3 years, but i couldn't clear. I will not leave that. That is my desire to become a CA. It's burning inside of my heart. I am now at 39.

"You can't really give-up until your heart allows so. No matter how hard you try or cry for it." Age is not a barrier for doing any thing. All of us have listen  the statement "jab jaago tab savera" & i think every person should be given an opportunity to do what he wants?

Really nice post by you Renu and thanks for sharing. I liked your concluding statement.

To stop our age to grow is not in our hand.............

But to grow with the AGE or inspite of the AGE is always in our hand........
