14 November 2013its answer is as follows :
i) if a particular row has 2 zeros it just implies that they both were originally minimum elements of that row and column respectively. Reason for that is, under row minimization we deduct minimum element of the row from all the elements of that row so after completion of row minimization we get the zero at that place. same operation is performed under column minimization. Therefore, these 2 figures need not necessarily be the same figures they were just any minimum element of that row and column.
ii) If A(2,4) and A(3,2) were selected the remaining positions empty are only 2. (in 4*4 matrix only 4 optimal points can be there) So conclusion about remaining 2 assignment is : either they will be A(1,1) and A(4,3)
alternatively A(4,1) and A(1,3)is also possible. So there are 2 ways to conclude about assignment.
Finish. hope you got the answer. (This is my personal view as i have written the same answer in AMA paper)
