We all know every Public & Private Company must hold atleast 4 Board Meetings in every calender year. Suppose requisite quorum is not present the meeting is adjourned, the meeting is prosponed in next week, same time, same day. But adjourned meeting is also not held due to want of quorum & stand cancelled. My query is whether this cancelled meeting will be counted as if 4 meeting held during the year & Company has complied with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

According to me Adjourned meeting should not count for the meeting. Because Companies Act talks about holding of meeting and cancell meeting dont consider as holding of meeting.
