There is a difference between ‘adjournment’ of a meeting and ‘postponement’ of a meeting.
To adjourn means to defer or suspend a meeting to a future date or time, another place, or indefinitely (sine die) or as decided by the members present at the scheduled time of the meeting.
To postpone means to put off a meeting to a later time; defer.
The difference between adjournment and postponement is that in the former a meeting is held at the notified date, time and place and put off to a future date, time and place, while in the latter a meeting is put off without holding it at the notified date, time and place.
In more simple words “in adjournment meeting 1 bar hoti hai or sab milta hai phir adjurn karta hain.
In postponement koi bhi formally nahi milta notified date par but time etc main change ho jata hai. For example through phone etc.
