Address wrong in pan

Sir, When I have made my PAN card the address was wrong. Till now I have not corrected my address. So, If I will go to filling for return then any problem will arise if I will not correct this as address not mention in PAN. Pls clarify.

rectify the same by filing form 49A

no problem in filing the return. u can file yoiur return. also apply for change of address in pan

There won't be any problem provided that you mention the correct address in the return of income as the correspondence from IT department will be sent to the address mention in the return of income.

Problem is that your jurisdictional AO would be based on your PAN address (wrong address).

You may change the address in PAN in form 49A and afterwards in writing to AO to change the jurisdiction based on new address.
